Richard is a highly professional and seasoned insurance executive with almost three decades of industry experience. After years of working to protect large construction firms, he became president of A.L. Howes in 2015.

Richard’s goal was to bring his many years of insurance industry experience to bear for businesses of all sizes. He felt that all organizations, regardless of size, should have the same access to insurance expertise and experience. He wanted any interested firm or individual to be able to get the best coverage at the right price.

Richard shows a great deal of care to his clients. He takes the time to explain to his customers where their vulnerable places are and how they can protect themselves. In addition to his work, he is a strong believer in community. He serves as a trustee for the Boys Latin School, his alma mater, and he is a member of the Sykesville South Carroll Rotary Club.
